Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy Michael Kratsios signed the agreement that extends and amends the cooperation in research and development.
The U.S. Department of State announced that White House Office of Science and Technology Policy Director Michael Kratsios and Japanese Minister for Foreign Affairs Motegi Toshimitsu signed a protocol in Tokyo last week to extend and amend the U.S.-Japan Science and Technology Agreement.
Originally signed in 1988, the agreement provides a legal framework for the two governments to cooperate in science and technology research and development.
State Department Spokesman Tommy Pigott said, “The protocol extends the Agreement indefinitely, a sign of the deep trust and respect between the U.S. and Japanese governments. The extended and amended Agreement positions both countries to sustain and strengthen their cooperation, with a focus on critical and emerging technologies that improve the lives of both peoples.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Director Kratsios as his office collaborates with the nation of Japan on science and technology research and development.
- For Secretary Rubio and officials in the State Department as they work to foster positive relationships with international allies.
- For God to use this agreement signed by both nations to provide valuable new information in the fields of science and technology.
